Welcome to today’s episode of the Community Life Podcast. Our special guest is Gemma Whitehouse, who will be discussing the important work of Home-Start Surrey in supporting families with children under five. Home-Start Surrey is a collaborative organisation that pairs trained volunteers with families in need, using the Home-Start approach. This approach provides non-judgmental and friendly support to families facing challenges, and the organisation works with Surrey County Council’s Children’s Services team to help underprivileged families.
Referrals to Home-Start can come from health visitors, GPs, and other organizations, or families can self-refer. Home-Start Surrey is committed to helping local families and has made a significant impact in the community.
