I talked with Gav Singh, who runs Oysters Fish & Chip, about why local fish and chip shops are essential to our community. We also discussed the issue of many shops closing and what we can do to help keep them open. Oysters Fish & Chips has served the locals quality fish and chips for over 20 years. They are an independent business making fresh chips on-site daily using British potatoes. Additionally, they only source premium fish from sustainable fishing grounds in Norway and the Faroe Islands.
Their mouth-watering combination of moist white fish in a crispy golden batter served with hot, fluffy chips is hard to resist!

- By 1910, there were 25,000 fish and chip shops in the U.K
